The next day after our hotel room switching we headed off to see the
Eiffel tower but to get there it was either a 45minute walk in blazing
29degree heat or subway......hmmmmm let me think...subway...
well that posed its own challenge.....because the subway was designed
before escalators there was stairs down and stairs up.....all i can say is
we got our work out carrying marcelo in the stroller up and down up and
down because it isnt like our skytrain where u go up or down one set of
stairs to get to train.....no in this subway you have to go down the stairs along
the corridor up the stairs...turn left down the corridor for 5minute walk up the
stairs again and then down...finally to get on the subway that has no air
conditioning with lots of hot people squished together...Well we made it and it
was beautiful....very large it stood high above the city like an emperor guarding
his kingdom...there were crowds of people....we took lots of photos like a proper
Tourist would from every angle....then we headed to a river tour that took us
along the the Seine river that has all the great monuments along it,,,beautiful
bridges, the Louve, Notre Dame, etc...,cant remember the rest.....after the boat
ride we headed across the bridge to a huge venue set up from the
world cup it was Brazil versus Portugal....and the fans were out in droves...
